March 2013 - Olivehurst Public Utility District
Plumas Lake SCADA System Design and Services During Construction
Affinity is providing a design for a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to enable the District to monitor the Well 34 site and the Plumas Lake Water Treatment Plant from one of its other water treatment sites.  The project will include  radio telemetry and a SCADA computer at the other water treatment site with interactive screens for operator monitoring and control of Well 34.

September 2012 - Olivehurst Public Utility District
Well 34 Transmission Main Design and Services During Construction
Affinity completed a design for a 1,600 ft water transmission main for the Well 34 project and will provide services during bidding and construction.  The project included coordinating the development of easement documents and creating plans and specifications.  The project is expected to be completed in August, 2011.

Well 34 Site Improvements Services During Construction
Affinity is providing services during construction for the Well 34 site which was designed in 2010.  The services include reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information, providing design clarifications,  coordinating the resolution of field issues, and conducting regular construction meetings.  The project is expected to be completed in August, 2011.

May 2010 - Olivehurst Public Utility District
Well 34 Site Improvements Design
Affinity produced a design for a 3,500 gpm municipal drinking water well with iron and manganese treatment, natural gas standby power generator, and a chemical building.  Complete plans and specifications were developed and the project was bid.  The project was awarded and began construction in July, 2010.

Emergency Circuit Breaker Repairs
Affinity worked with an electrician to remedy problems with a circuit breaker at treatment facility. Affinity produced a technical memorandum describing the corrective action taken and proposed additional action for OPUD to consider in order to avoid future problems.

May 2011 - Rio Linda/Elverta Community Water District
CDPH Citation Compliance
Affinity provided services that enabled the District to stay in compliance with a CDPH citation.  The services included developing a monitoring program, back flow device testing and cross connection control program, system and facility O&M manuals, unidirectional flushing and valve exercising program, a detailed system map and a conservation program.

Water System Flushing and Disinfection Plan
Affinity provided a plan to flush and disinfect a water system which had been left disconnected from an active water supply for several years.  The plan was consistent with requirements set forth for monitoring and inspection as established by the Sacramento County Water Agency, since they will ultimately own the water system.  A detailed unidirectional flushing plan was created including detailed instructions for the sequencing of valve closings.   The flushing plan was followed for each phase of the overall program: pre-disinfection, scour flushing, and regular disinfection.

UC Davis Well 4A Electrical Design and Senior Civil/Mechanical/Operations Design Review
Affinity is providing the electrical design for a municipal drinking water well for UC Davis as a subconsultant to Wood Rodgers. The design will include a standby power generator, automatic transfer switch, variable frequency drive for the well pump, local controls, and services during construction.

Elk Grove Water District Electrical and Civil/Mechanical/Operations Engineering Support
Affinity is assisting in providing engineering services as the District Engineer.  The services include electrical, civil, mechanical and operations assessment for all aspects of the District's water system.  One current project involves determining and implementing capacity improvements by maximizing well production with higher capacity pumps and rehabilitation.

Water System Flushing and Disinfection Plan

Madison Community Services District Well Relocation Design
Affinity provided the civil, mechanical and electrical design for relocating a well pump and piping to a new well approximately 70 feet away.  The project utilized the existing electrical distribution equipment and controls, but plans for conduit and piping were developed for bidding.  The project was bid and awarded and construction was completed in September, 2010.

August 2009 - Kirby's Pump and Mechanical
Elevated Work Platform Design
Affinity produced a design for elevated work platforms around filters to assist operators in replacing filter media.  The platforms included stairs, tread plate decks, and hand rails.  Three dimensional models were created in a computer aided drafting program, and the printed design included an isometric, elevation, and plan views of the platforms.

August 2009 - Wood Rodgers
Water System Assessment
Affinity provided assessment services as a subconsultant to Wood Rodgers for a water system in Washington State. The assessment included a visual inspection over two days, several conference calls with the owner, operator, and local consultants who had worked on the water system in the past.  Affinity produced a technical memorandum summarizing the results of the assessment, recommendations for improvements, and opinions of probable costs for the improvements.

July 2009 - Kirby's Pump and Mechanical
Anchor Bolt Calculation
Affinity produced an anchor bolt calculation for a deep well turbine pump.
